【摘要】:1.1ThispracticeprovidesproceduresfortheselectionofreleasetorquevaluesforAlpineski/boot/bindingssystems.Theseproceduresmaybeusedbyskibindingmanufacturersintheirinstructionsforinstallationanduseandbyskishopsfortheadjustmentofalreadymountedskibindings.1.2ThispracticeisapplicabletoreleasableAlpineski/boot/bindingsystems.1.3Releasetorquevaluesselectedusingthispracticemaynotbeappropriateforcircumstancesinwhich:1.3.1Theskiercarriesanobjectthatsignificantlyincreasestheskier''seffectivebodyweight,1.3.2Theskiergraspsorinsomemannercontrolsanobjectsuchasasled,or1.3.3Theskierencountersexceptionalsnoworterrainconditionsnotcommonlyfoundondevelopedskislopes.1.4Thispracticemaybeinappropriatefornonmechanicalbindingsorbindingsusedwithbootsthatreachmorethanhalfwayupthelowerleg.1.5Releasetorquevaluesoutsidetherecommendationsofthispracticemayincreasetheriskofinjurytotheskier.However,skierswhoareinformedofthispotentialriskmayrequestsuchsettingsandhavethemprovided,subjecttoanyguidelinesandlimitationsspecifiedbythebindingmanufacturer.1.6Thesevaluesrefertorecommendedreleasetorqueforinitialadjustmentofaskibindingandsubsequentreadjustmentofthebindingduringroutinemaintenanceorfollowingasuspectedmalfunction.However,thesevaluesarenotintendedtoapplytotheconditionoftheequipmentatanytimeafteritisputintouse.1.6.1ForinformationconcerningapplicabletolerancestobeusedfortheadjustmentandinspectionofreleasableAlpineskibindingsinretailoperationsconsultPracticeF1063;forrentalapplicationsconsultPracticeF1064.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
