【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversgradesofnominalwallthickness,stainlesssteeltubingforservicesrequiringgeneralcorrosionresistance,withparticularemphasisonresistancetostresscorrosioncracking.Thesesteelsaresusceptibletoembrittlementifusedforprolongedperiodsatelevatedtemperatures.Note1&8212;Fortubingsmallerthan/in.[12.7mm]inoutsidediameter,theelongationvaluesgivenforstripspecimensinTable1shallapply.Mechanicalpropertyrequirementsdonotapplytotubingsmallerthan1/8in.[3.2mm]inoutsidediameterorwithwallsthinnerthan0.015in.[0.4mm].Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundunitsorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theSIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.Theinch-poundunitsshallapplyunlesstheMdesignationofthisspecificationisspecifiedintheorder.
