【摘要】:Thistestmethodiswellsuitedformeasuringtheviscosityofglassesinrangeshigherthanthosecoveredbyparallelplate(seeTestMethodC1351)androtationalviscometry(seePracticeC965)methods.Thistestmethodisusefulforprovidinginformationrelatedtothebehaviorofglassafterithasbeenformedintoanobjectofcommerceandinresearchanddevelopment.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofglassviscosityfromapproximately108Pax00B7;stoapproximately1013Pax00B7;sbymeasuringtherateofviscousbendingofasimplyloadedglassbeam.Duetothethermalhistoryoftheglass,theviscositymaynotrepresentconditionsofthermalequilibriumatthehighendofthemeasuredviscosityrange.Measurementscarriedoutoverextendedperiodsoftimeatanytemperatureorthermalpreconditioningwillminimizetheseeffectsbyallowingtheglasstoapproachequilibriumstructuralconditions.Conversely,themethodalsomaybeusedinexperimentalprogramsthatfocusonnonequilibriumconditions.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Nootherunitsofmeasurementareincludedinthisstandard.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
