【摘要】:Thispracticeprovidesstandardproceduresforobtainingrepresentativesamplesofvariousmaterialsusedasasourceoftanninsforthetanningindustry.Proceduresaredescribedforobtainingrepresentativesamplesofeconomicalandconvenientquantitiesfromalot,orsectionsofalot,ofmaterialforexaminationandanalysissothatagreementmaybereachedwithregardtotheextentofvariationofqualityindifferentportionsofalotandtheaveragequalityoftheentirelotofmaterial.Nodirectionsforsampling,howeverexplicit,cantaketheplaceofjudgment,skill,andpreviousexperienceonthepartofpersonsactuallyengagedinthesamplingorthesupervisionofthesampling.Thesedirectionsareintendedtosupplementthatexperienceand,particularly,toserveasaguideintheselectionofthemethodwhichistobeused,incommon,byeachoftwoormorecontractingparties.Tanningmaterialscontainmoistureinvaryingamounts,dependingbothonthenatureofthematerialandontheclimaticconditions,sothatsamplingmustbecarriedoutasquicklyasisconsistentwiththoroughnessinordertoavoidchangesinmoisturecontent.1.1Thispracticecoversobtainingrepresentativesamplesfromshipmentlotsofbotanicalmaterialscontainingtannin.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Theinch-poundunitsgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
