【摘要】:1.1Thisconsumersafetyspecificationcoverstheperformancerequirementsandtestmethodstoensurethesafetyoftoychests.1.2Thisconsumersafetyspecificationisintendedtominimizetheaccidentsandinjuriestochildrenresultingfromnormaluseandreasonablyforeseeablemisuseorabuseoftoychests.1.3Forthepurposesofthisconsumersafetyspecification,theserequirementsapplytoproductsknownastoychestsortoyboxesthataredesignedandmarketedasstoragecontainersfortoys.Theproductssubjecttotherequirementsarethosewithavolumeof1.1ft(0.031m)ormore.1.4Notoychestortoyboxproducedaftertheapprovaldateofthisconsumersafetyspecificationshall,eitherbylabelorothermeans,indicatecompliancewiththisspecificationunlessitconformstoallrequirementscontainedherein.1.5Thefollowingprecautionarycaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Section6,ofthisspecification:Thisstandardmayinvolvehazardousmaterials,operations,andequipment.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblemsassociatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityofwhoeverusesthisstandardtoconsultandestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
