【摘要】:TheproceduredescribedinthispracticeisusedtodesignOGFCmixturesthatwillprovidegoodperformanceintermsofpermeability(tendingtoreducehydroplaningandpotentialforskidding),anddurabilitywhensubjectedtohighvolumesoftraffic.1.1Thisstandardpracticecoversthemixdesignofopen-gradedfrictioncourse(OGFC)usingthesuperpavegyratorycompactor(SGC)orothersuitableformsofcompaction.TheOGFCmixdesignisbasedonthevolumetricpropertiesofthemixintermsofairvoids,andthepresenceofstone-on-stonecontact.InformationfoundinGuideD6932shouldbereviewedbeforestartingthemixdesign.Whereapplicable,SpecificationD3666shouldbeappliedasaminimumforagenciestestingandinspectingroadandpavingmaterials.1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Theinch-poundunitsinparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.

【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversbrickintendedforbothstructuralandnonstructuralmasonrywhereexternalappearanceisnotarequirement.Thebrickareprismaticunitsavailableinavarietyofsizes,shapes,textures,andcolors.Thespecificationdoesnotcoverbrickintendedforuseasfacingunitsorwheresurfaceappearanceisarequirement,(seeSpecificationC216).Thisspecificationdoesnotcoverbrickintendedforuseaspavingbrick(seeSpecificationC902).1.2Thepropertyrequirementsofthisstandardapplyatthetimeofpurchase.Theuseofresultsfromtestingofbrickextractedfrommasonrystructuresfordeterminingconformanceornonconformancetothepropertyrequirements(Section3)ofthisstandardisbeyondthescopeofthisstandard.1.3Brickaremanufacturedfromclay,shale,orsimilarnaturallyoccurringearthysubstancesandsubjectedtoaheattreatmentatelevatedtemperatures(firing).Theheattreatmentmustdevelopsufficientfiredbondbetweentheparticulateconstituentstoprovidethestrengthanddurabilityrequirementsofthisspecification.(Seefiring,firedbond,andincipientfusioninTerminologyC43.)1.4Brickareshapedduringmanufacturebymolding,pressing,orextrusion,andtheshapingmethodisawaytodescribethebrick(seeTerminologyC43).1.5Thetextofthisstandardreferencesnotesandfootnoteswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthestandard.1.6Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.
