【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoversweldlessforged,quenched,andtemperedcarbonsteelthreadedliftingeyes(formerlyeyebolts)foroverheadlifting.Note18212;Liftingeyescarryingthisspecificationnumbereventhoughtheyareliquidquenchedandtemperedmaybeprocessedfromcarbonsteelwhich,inthecompositionrangepermittedbythisspecification,couldhaveafractureappearancetransitiontemperature(50%shear)higherthanoperatingtemperatures.Therefore,inordertominimizethepossibilityofabrittlecleavagefailure,theseliftingeyesshouldneverbeloadedabovetheproofload,andshouldnotbeusedwhensurfacediscontinuitiesexistontheliftingeyes.1.2Thespecificationincludestwotypesdenotingshankpatternandonestyledenotingshanklength(bothdefinedinASMEB18.15)asfollows:1.2.1Type18212;Plainpattern(straightshank).1.2.2Type28212;Shoulderpattern.1.2.3StyleB8212;Shortlength.1.3Thevaluesstatedininch-poundunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.TheSIvaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.4TermsusedinthisspecificationaredefinedinTerminologyF1789unlessotherwisedefinedherein.
